Wag's Restaurant: The Best Sandwiches and Burgers in Frederick

Went there based on a recommendation from a local. Definitely a hidden gem. It’s a bit of a dive bar vibe. Our waitress was great and her food recommendations were spot on. I got the Philly burger with the Wags fries. Let me tell you the fries were FIRE! They looked like 5 Guys fries, but were crispy and cooked to perfection. Seasoned just right. However, I would stay away from the “Wags” sauce if it’s included in any of the food That stuff was like seasoned-less, watered down, marinara sauce. Not good at all. Just have it put to the side. lol

Friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices. What else could you want? The French fries are very good. I recommend this as a friendly, unique place for a drink and meal. They cook the fries in peanut oil and they clearly tell people in case you have an allergy.

Great cheesesteak sub and gyro. The meats are nice thick cuts of quality meat. The bun and gyro were both fresh and tasty. In addition the fries were really good boardwalk style fries. The burgers here are highly recommended so I'll be back to check them out. (I had burgers last night so had to switch it up)

Lovely bar. Got the wag burger with wag fries. Was delicious 100% would recommend. Happy hour drink deals are insane. $1.38 vodka sodas. I have never seen anything like it in my life. Prices are great too!

This place is absolutely awesome. Great staff! Great food. Definitely get the french fries. Well worth the upgrade. The entrance is down some steps from the street. I'm not sure how somebody with a wheelchair would get in, but maybe there's something I'm not aware of.

This place is a gem; it gives real life cheers vibes. I went for the first time and was treated like a regular. I love that it's a little basement style area that has been around forever, so it has that laid-back, comfy feel to it. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and it was huge and honestly the best burger I've had in a long time. The fresh cut fries are just like my mom used to make growing up (think boardwalk fries), and we're delicious.

Wag’s is a sweet little hideaway spot with dim lighting and cozy ambiance. It has a distinct “local” vibe. You can tell this is home base for regulars in the community. The service is efficient and friendly. The menu had several options that looked delicious, I was craving a burger and the Wag Burger did not disappoint! The special sauce was different and elevated the burger in a surprising way for an underground hole in the wall. 10/10 would go again.

Burger was just ok, the steak, bacon and cheese sub was better. Drinks are ok. They have a rotating cocktail menus.
